Garnett, Kansas

A unique recreation area unrivaled by other towns at comparable size. The area holds four softball diamonds, tennis and basketball courts, a sand volleyball court, a swimming pool, tot lot playground, and a camping area. It is also home to a riding arena, fairgrounds, football field, go-kart, and rifle/archery range. For several years now for an athletic triathlon, an event that is well attended by athletes from all over the state.

Built in 1888 by Peter Brandt, the Victorian style house was donated to the Anderson County Historical Society by the Dr. C. B. Harris family. Refurbished in 1986
