Five Beautiful park areas are offered by the Corps of Engineers for camping, picnicking and other outdoor activities. Facilities available at these areas include designated campsites both with and without electricity, picnic areas, group picnic shelters, potable water, sanitary facilities, boat launching ramps, a playground, ballfield and swimming beach with a changehouse.
Fees are collected on a seasonal basis at three of the park areas. More detailed information regarding the fee program can be obtained at the Project Office.
Cherryvale Park (Class A) - Cherryvale campground is located about 4 miles west of Cherryvale. Cherryvale Park has one (1) Group Camping Area available which provides the user with one (1) shelter house and seven (7) campsites. The Group Camping Area may be reserved prior to arrival by calling the National Recreation Reservation Service at 1-877-444-6777. Facilities include: Designated Campsites, Electricity/No Water, Restrooms, Showers, Drinking Water, Trailer Dump Station, Hiking Nature Trail, Equestrian Trail, Berm Fishing.

Mound Valley North (Class A)- Mound Valley campground is located about 5 miles west of Cherryvale. Mound Valley park is located on the main body of Big Hill Lake. The campground is manned by Park Attendants from March 29, to November 3. Some of the sites are reservable through ReserveUSA.com or 1-877-444-6777. Facilities include: Designated Campsites, Electricity/No water, Restrooms, Showers, Drinking Water, Trailer Dump Station, Swim Beach, Hiking Nature Trail, Boat Ramp/Dock, Boat Dock, Handicapped Accessible.

Mound Valley South (Class A) - Two (2) Group Camping Areas are available without electricity; Group Area A and Group Area B both have 4 campsites each. One (1) Shelter House is available to be reserved with the Group A and/or Group B campsites. Entire Group Camp Area may be reserved. The Group Camping Area may be reserved prior to arrival by calling the National Recreation Reservation Service at 1-877-444-6777. Timber Hill Park (Class B) - Timber Hill park is for the campers who like to get back to nature with the bare minimum. The equestrian trail has a seperate camping area since horses are not allowed in the parks. Facilities include: Designated Primitive Campsites, Restrooms, Drinking Water,Trailer Dump Station, Equestrian Trail, Boat Ramp/Dock, Fishing Dock.
