Avena Botanicals, Midcoast Maine's largest herbal apothecary for over 20 years, is known for making high quality medicinally-potent herbal products. We use certified organic and wild-crafted herbs to make our own herbal tinctures, infused oils, creams, salves, herbal teas, and bodycare products. We hand-harvest the majority of our herbs from our own beautiful herb garden which is certified organic by MOFGA. Our gardens flourish as a result of using biodynamic preparations and permaculture techniques. Deb Soule, the owner of Avena Botanicals, is a highly regarded herbalist, author, teacher, healer, and medicine-maker. The apothecary is open year round, Mon-Thurs. The gardens are open to the public May through October, Mon.-Thurs. 9am to 5pm
