The dungeon-like cells of the 1859 Jail housed thousands of prisoners including Frank James and William Clark Quantrill of Quantrill's Raiders .Both the Jail and the Marshal's HOme have been painstakingly resotred and boast a superb historical collection. The adjacent museum is filled with artifacts, photos and documents of the Civil War/frontier era.
