Stockton Lake Boating
category : Boating
Stockton Lake offers great opportunities for the boating and personal watercraft enthusiast. Stockton is known as one of Missouri's best sailing lakes and the Stockton Yacht Club (link) hosts several races each year. During the earliest days of spring a slight of warmth can be felt in the still chilly air. The wind is generally steady and moderate to heavy. The summer months bring light winds which keep many sailers off the main lake, and then fall sailing is known to be wonderful with the returning nip in the air and stronger winds.
Boat Launching Ramps are located at all Corps-managed parks. Day-use fees are charged from 15 March thru 31 October for launching boats at the Corps-managed boat ramps at Stockton, Orleans Trail, Hawker Point, Ruark Bluff, Cedar Ridge, Masters, and Crabtree Cove. The fee is $3 per day. Fees are not charged at Greenfield Access, Mutton Creek North, and High Point Access.
Stockton State Park has concrete boat ramps at both the marina and at Hartley Cove. There are no launch fees or motor restrictions at Stockton State Park.
