Mountain Farm is a sustainable, 24-acre lavender, blueberry and dairy goat farm in the Appalachian mountains of Western North Carolina. Our small herd, hormone and antibiotic-free, includes registered Saanen and Nubian goats. Their fresh milk is collected each morning and then goes into the handcrafted soap, body products, and aged cheeses we make and sell right here on the farm. Please visit our Facebook page and blog to learn more! Visit a working farm: bottle feed kids in season, picnic on the property, enjoy refreshments from the Mountain Farm coffee and gift shop, sit in the lavender field and inhale, cut-your-own lavender and U-Pick blueberries, too! A variety of heavenly lavender blooms from June to September. It’s soothing fragrance can be found in nearly all of our artisanal bath and spa products. We harvest lavender for our culinary line of herbs, salt, honey, vinegar, and more! Lavender bushes also creates a natural border for Mountain Farm’s meditation labyrinth.
Mountain Farm is free to visit, anytime! You can get a self-guided map in our shop and introduce yourself to our friendly animals. We also offer regular guided tours on Saturday and Sunday at 1 pm for only $5; contact us to schedule your own guided tour at another time. Mountain Farm is an interactive, working farm! With treats available in the retail store, you may hand-feed the animals, but please remember, Mountain Farm is not a petting zoo.
