1901. Two-story buff-colored brick building in Renaissance Revival Style. Five bays wide with three center bays recessed and fronted by an arcaded porch with parapeted balcony. Paired one-over-one sash surrounded by concrete or cast stone quoins and garlanded cartouches in window spandrels. Front section of building joined to rear cell block by arcade. The jail was built on the site of an earlier jail built in 1873. It was listed in the National Register with the former Courthouse in 1979.
