Hyco Lake was constructed in the early 1960s and covers 3,750 acres. The lake and a 65-acre recreation park are under the jurisdiction of the Person-Caswell Lake Authority. It has 160 miles of shoreline and provides many opportunites for outdoor public recreation including boating, camping, fishing and picknicking.
System of seven trails includes an observatory with a variety of terrain, trees, plants and wildlife. Picnic area with brick grill and tables available. 12,714' of trail.
