Over 5,500 acres of natural area located in Wake County between Glenwood Ave/Hwy 70 and I-40. The park offers hiking trails, bridle and bike trails, 28 campsites, plus group camping facilities which are available to non-profit organizations. There is also rowboat and canoe rental during the summer and picnic tables scattered under the trees.
The City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department has 19 community centers, 8 swimming pools, 108 tennis courts (including 23 at Millbrook Exchange Park), 61 softball fields (including 9 at Walnut Creek Softball Complex), 4 lakes and approximately 40 miles of greenway trails. Call 890-3285
