Fort Ransom is situated in the scenic historic Sheyenne River Valley. A scenic overlook on a park road high on the valley slope affords a spectacular view of this uniquely scenic area. Canoeing is popular on the Sheyenne River during the summer, with snowmobiling and cross-country skiing major winter activities.
