Scenic Park Aquaplex

A unique water slide is a feature attraction at the Scenic Park Aquaplex in South Sioux City's Scenic Park. The 109'-long, figure-eight water slide is the only one of its kind in the area.


The Aquaplex features a 50 meter, eight-lane competition-style pool with two diving boards as well as a 40-foot by 40-foot wading pool for children complete with a fountain. The facility has a fully-stocked concession with picnic areas.


Scenic Park features tennis courts, soccer fields, a campground and a small marina with bicycle and pedestrian paths around the park. The campground features 53 modern sites. There are heated showers and a pay phone.

Combs School Museum

The Combs School was erected in 1887 at Omadi. The Missouri River began to undermine the town, so it was moved to Tom Smith's claim south of Homer. When the Burlington Railroad was built, the school was found to be on railroad property, so it was again moved south of Homer on Highway 77
