Kearney Area Children's Museum-KidZone

category : Museums
Kearney Area Children's Museum-KidZone KidZone - Kearney Area Children's Museum is a place where children and their families can play, learn, and grow. We strive to provide our visitors with an affordable way to merge education and fun while spending quality time together. Each of our exhibits is an interactive learning experience. Unlike a traditional museum, at KidZone, children are invited to touch, push, pull, build, and play with every exhibit.

KidZone's primary mission is to enhance the Central Nebraska community by providing a unique and fun educational resource for our youth and their families. However, our community involvement goes far beyond our exhibits. We are involved in many community events. We also host smaller monthly events like our annual Halloween party and Breakfast with Santa.

KidZone- Kearney Area Children's Museum is a member of the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce and has active partnerships with several community organizations including Head Start, Kearney Community Learning Center (KCLC), The ARC of Buffalo County, the Museum of Nebraska Art (MONA), Buffalo County Historical Society/Trails & Rails Museum, the Frank House at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and more. As a non-profit organization, the Kearney Area Children's Museum relies on community support, donations, and volunteer help us to operate. The museum is very grateful to everyone who contributes to its success.

The Kearney Area Children's Museum is a member of the Association of Children's Museums (ACM), an international professional organization that was founded to expand the capacity and further the vision of children's museums.
