Lexington, Nebraska

The excellent supply of game birds makes Lexington a great headquarters for your hunting trips. Migratory water fowl can be found in great numbers along the Platte River and on Johnson Lake and Elwood Reservoir south of Lexington. Pheasant hunters say the population in the Lexington area is among the best anywhere.

Deer numbers have been on the increase in recent years, providing excellent hunting in this area. White tail, and even the occasional mule deer are taken both by firearm and archery hunters.

The Lexington Chamber of Commerce can offer help with directions and suggestions on contacting land-owners for permission to hunt.
