The Commercial National Bank Srpingview, Nebraska

Springview, Nebraska

In the fall of 1996, an extraordinary event took place in Keya Paha County. The abandoned community of Meadville on the shores of the Niobrara was reborn, as the remnants of the old general store and post office were reconstructed. Oldtimers marveled at this accomplishment, and have hailed the master plan to restore the entire town to its original state (as it appeared in the 40s) with old photos, artifacts and animal displays.

A camping and recreational area complete with facilities and a swimming site on the river are now available.
