Delaware State Park is located in Delaware County, just outside Delaware. This wild escape from the city was the historic home of the Delaware Indians and now offers woodlands, meadows and shimmering lake.
Hike 7.5 mi. of trails. Refuel with a picnic at an area offering tables, grills and reservable shelterhouse. Nature programs provide entertainment all summer.
Pick 1 of 214 campsites with/without electric. Pets allowed at designated sites. Amenities are showers, restrooms and laundry facilities. Camp in a spacious Yurt (a large, round tent with futon furniture & electric).
1,330-acre Delaware Reservoir offers a sand beach. From sailing to speed boating, all boating is permitted with no hp limit. The marina ((740) 363-6102) offers boating supplies, boat rental, docks for seasonal rental and launch ramps for access.
Fishing for crappie, muskie and bass is enjoyed from shore and lake. Hunting is permitted in designated areas & the adjacent Delaware Wildlife Area. A valid Ohio fishing and/or hunting license is required.
2006 Camping Fees are $24/night for electric.
