Malabar Farm State Park is in Richland Co., 1 hour NE of Columbus. Malabar Farm was home to Pulitzer Prize-winning author/conservationist Louis Bromfield. In the 1940s-50s Bromfield entertained Hollywood personalities, & Humphrey Bogart & Lauren Bacall were married here.

Tour the farm & "Big House" just as Bromfield left them in 1956. Tours daily Memorial Day-Labor Day, closed Mondays & holidays after Labor Day, call for hours Jan. 1-Apr. 30. Wagon tours also offered. Fee charged for tours. A picnic area provides tables & grills.

The Pugh Cabin can be rented for small group functions. It offers a kitchen, fireplaces & common room for day-use only. The Malabar Farm Restaurant is open daily in spring, through fall for lunch & dinner, & during events & winter weekends. Hike, ride horseback or X-country ski on 12 mi. of scenic multi-use trails. A 15-site campground for horsemen & family campers has basic amenities.

2007 Camping Fees are $17/night. Reservations: 1-866-OHIO-PARKS.
