Lock 30 Woodlands, on Ohio?s historic Sandy and Beaver Canal in Lisbon, has one of the few remaining, undisturbed locks on private, family-owned property. These scenic sandstone hills of pine forest have been converted to a destination camping resort, surrounded by 360 degree views, protected by conservation easements. Sixty-five acres of the campground is on a one-mile stretch of Wild and Scenic designated Beaver Creek.
More than 60 full hook-up, water, sewer and up to 50 amp electric sites can accommodate the largest RVs on the road. For 2008: concrete pad, barbecue grill/patio super sites will be available. All sites, including tent sites, are shaded and have picnic tables and fire rings. Tent sites with water and electric are located close to a 32x80 pavilion with handicap access, spacious showers and restrooms. Furnished, poolside and decked, luxury rental cabins are available year-round, by reservation.
Additional amenities include a carpeted, furnished clubhouse with ceramic-tile restrooms and showers, game room, laundry facility, conference tables and rental kitchen for groups, 40x80 landscaped swimming pool, tournament grade bocce court, 30x40 basketball court, shaded volleyball, horseshoes, hiking and biking trails, gardens, and stocked fishing lake. Entertainment for families include fire truck rides on a restored, historic fire truck, birthday packages, DJ?s on special event weekends, midweek discounts, monthly and seasonal RV sites.
Open year-round, Lock 30 Woodlands is the highest-rated campground in the tri-state area, two hours from Cleveland and one hour from Pittsburgh.
