Hartville MarketPlace & Flea Market
category : Businesses
Hartville MarketPlace and Flea Market is a shopping experience you have to see to believe. Sol Miller established the Hartville Flea Market in 1939. His son, Howard Miller, took over in 1952. Currently Howard's son-in-law, Marion Coblentz, is running the Hartville MarketPlace and Flea Market. It began as a local livestock auction in 1939 and has become one of Ohio's largest flea markets and an antique collector's paradise! It is renowned for fresh produce, meats, cheeses, antiques, collectibles, old hand tools, clothing, home décor, and much more.
On September 5th, 2002 the Hartville Flea Market moved to its location behind the Hartville Kitchen Restaurant on State Route 619. Attached to the Flea Market is the new Hartville Marketplace: a 3 acre indoor, heated and air conditioned, building with over 125 permanent vendors. The outside Flea Market has expanded into a 12-acre antique collector’s paradise. There is also a wonderful grill area located inside the MarketPlace, which serves breakfast, lunch, or quick snacks. The brick courtyard, lampposts and ivy make eating at Sarah's Grille a great experience.
