Lake Loramie State Park is located in Shelby County about an hour northwest from Dayton. Originally created in 1825 as a reservoir for the Miami-Erie Canal system, Lake Loramie offers an expanse of no wake zone perfect for canoeing, as well as an open zone for power boating.
Hike 8 miles of trails that include a trail which traces the route of the Miami-Erie Canal. Several picnic areas around the lake offer tables and grills. 3 shelters are reservable. Nature programs provide entertainment year round.
1,655-acre Lake Loramie offers a sand beach. From sailing to speed boats, all boating is permitted with no horsepower limit. Seasonal dock rentals are available. 5 launch ramps provide access to the lake.
Fishing can be enjoyed from shore, the accessible fishing dock, or the lake. Hunting is permitted in designated areas.
Pick 1 of 162 campsites with/without electrical hookups. Pets allowed on designated sites. Amenities include showers, restrooms and campers beach. Enjoy hassle-free camping in a Rent-A-Camp.
2006 Camping Fees are $18-$24/night for non-electric/electric regular and premium sites. Rent-A-Camp is $36/night. Call 1-866-OHIO-PARKS for reservations.
