Lake Alma State Park is located in Vinton County, 34 miles southwest of Athens. The rugged, scenic terrain teems with wildlife, birds and wildflowers.
Hike 3 miles of nature trails and relax at scenic picnic areas offering tables, grills and 3 shelterhouses, which may be reserved. A Nature Center provides entertainment all year.
The peaceful 60-acre lake offers swimming and sunbathing on sand beaches. A refreshment stand is located near the beach. Enjoy laid-back boating, limited to canoeing, sailing or boats with electric motors only. Boat rental is available and a launch ramp to provide easy access.
Fishing can be enjoyed from the shoreline or on the lake.
Sledding, ice skating, cross country skiing and ice fishing remember to bring your own gear.
Pick 1 of 83 campsites with/without electric. Pets are allowed on designated sites. Camping facilities are basic, including picnic tables and fire rings at each site. Latrines and drinking water are available in the campground. Enjoy hassle-free camping in a Camper Cabin.
2006 Camping Fees are $16-$20/night for non-electric/electric sites. Camper Cabin is $30/night. Call 1-866-OHIO-PARKS for reservations.
