Tour Ohio's first house (called an Earthship) made of tires, cans, bottles, adobe and re-claimed barn wood. Attend workshops about recycling, composting, Victorian cottage gardening, and sustainable building techniques used in constructing strawbale structures and Earthships. Trek the scenic hills of Blue Rock with the llamas, feed the rare breed chickens, visit with the dairy goats, or just have a proper cup of British tea and a warm cookie from the solar oven.

Annie and Jay Warmke (along with their granddaughter and numerous critters) live and work in this year-round demonstration of sustainable living.  Gain a "real world" perspective of living lightly on the land.  Along with the Earthship (which uses the earth and sun for heat, captures and recycles its water supply, uses compost toilets, solar power and other zero impact techniques), Blue Rock Station features straw bale buildings, homestead gardens, dairy goats, pastured chickens and more.

As this is a working farm/homestead, reservations are required.  Groups of 5 or more can schedule a visit at any time.
