Kinkead Ridge Estate Winery produces award-winning, ultra-premium, internationally recognized limited production wines from grapes grown at our vineyard near historic Ripley, Ohio. Before planting our five acre vineyard in 1999 on a ridge near the Ohio River at our 126 acre farm, we grew Pinot Noir in Oregon for over 15 years.
Two of our wines have been rated in the "Top 100 Exciting Wines in the World" list by Tom Stevenson, British editor of the New Sotheby's wine encyclopedia.
We produce Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Viognier and Roussanne.
The town of Ripley is located on the U.S. Scenic Byway Highway 52 along the Ohio River about 60 miles east of Cincinnati, and is famous for its role in the Underground Railroad period of our nation's history.
The hills in and around Ripley were planted with wine grapes in the 1800s by German settlers and Nicholas Longworth (the father of American wine).
Our hours are seasonal from Memorial Day to Labor Day and holidays. Check the web site for details.
