Buck Creek State Park is located in Clark Co. near Springfield, 48 miles west of Columbus. Tucked in between farm fields, prairies & wetlands, this landscape was once the stomping grounds of pioneer hero Simon Kenton.
Go hiking on 7.5 mi. of nature trails, or horseback riding on 7.5 mi. of bridle trails (bring your own horse). Picnic areas have tables & grills, along with 2 reservable shelterhouses. Nature programs provide family entertainment all summer long.
Pitch your tent or park your RV on one of 89 sites with electric hookups or 12 non-electric sites. Amenities include showers & flush toilets. Pets are allowed on designated sites.
2,120-acre C. J. Brown Reservoir offers swimming & sunbathing on a sand beach. All types of boating, with no limit on horsepower, are permitted. The marina offers supplies, refreshments. Fishing can be enjoyed from the shoreline or on the lake. Hunting is permitted in season in designated areas.
2006 Camping Fees range from $20-$24/night for non-electric/electric sites. 2006 Cottage Fees start at $85/night. Ask about specials when calling. Rates are subject to change. Call 1-866-OHIO-PARKS for reservations.
