Dayton's national park preserves the legacies of three exceptional men - Wilbur Wright, Orville Wright and Paul Laurence Dunbar. Sites include The Wright Cycle Company Complex, Huffman Prairie Flying Field and Interpretive Center, John W Berry Wright Brothers Aviation Center at Carillon Historical Park, and The Paul Laurence Dunbar House.
Interactive exhibits celebrate the scientific and literary genius of these men, placing them in historical context. Each site provides a variety of staff-led programs and tours to help the visitor better understand the contributions of these men of genius. Groups may contact the site in advance for guided tours and talks.
The Wright Cycle Company Complex includes The Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center and Aviation Trail Visitor Center & Museum and The Wright Cycle Company building. Huffman Prairie Flying Field Interpretive Center tells the story of the Wright brothers at Huffman Prairie Flying Field. Dayton History operates the Wright Brothers Aviation Center at Carillon Park. Ohio Historical Society operates Paul Laurence Dunbar House.
