Sandy Sanders Wildlife Management Area

The Sandy Sanders WMA covers 16,510 acres of Greer and Beckham counties in Southwest Oklahoma.
The habitat is rough gypsum outcroppings scattered with mesquite and Pine off Juniper trees.
Approximately 300 acres of tillable land, planted three rows, cover crop, millet, maize and sunflowers
Approximately 15 farm ponds from 1 1/2 to 2 acres. The ponds are stocked with channel cat and large mouth bass.
Species present include Bob White, Scaled quail, Dove, currently being managed for white tail deer, mule deer and turkey with no season at this time due to management efforts.
Places for bird watchers and hikers and anyone interested in native plants.
Equestrian trails
Mountain bicycling on 45 miles of unpaved roads.
Camping permissible in designated areas.
Open to the public year round.
