Okemah, Oklahoma

Okemah boasts one of the finest golf courses in the area. Our nine-hole golf course is the site of many hours of family fun for local residents. Golfers from area communities are attracted to this course and impressed by its caliber. Built by volunteers in 1991, the golf course has been a dream come true for our community. This state-of-the-art link style course is a tribute to the hard work, cooperative effort and community spirit put forth to make this dream become a reality. Snacks and soft drinks are available in the Clubhouse throughout the day. The Okemah Golf Club is a non-profit organization that supports the Okemah High School golf team.

Woody Guthrie Statue and Mural

The Woody Guthrie Statue was dedicated at the 1998 Free Folk Festival and placed in a memorial park in downtown Okemah. Painted on a wall adjacent to the park is this mural illustrating the life of Woody done by artist, DeAnna Wilson.
