Poogan's Porch

category : Other Attractions
What gives Charleston eateries so much of their charm and reputation is, of course, wonderful, delicious food. And what could be more Charleston than an 1886 home named after an abandoned dog and complete with its own ghost? Long past the life of fluffy Poogan, guests have flocked to this restaurant for wonderful Lowcountry creations like Carolina Crabcakes, Calabash Seafood platters, and Bread Pudding in Boubon Sauce.
Oh, and the ghost? That would be Zoe St. Amand, a long-dead spinster who purportedly still visits her old home, raising a few eyebrows - but never causing harm. Rave reviews from Travel Channel, Food Network, Southern Living and Martha Stewart.
