Winner of the 1999 SC Governor's Cup, Ripley's continues to entertain guests with some of the world's most beautiful, fascinating and dangerous aquatic life. The 87,000 square foot facility is home to thousands of colorful and beautiful fish. Traveling through the 750,000 gallon Dangerous Reef tunnel on a moving glide path, visitors are surrounded on all sides by sharks up to 10 feet long. Other aquarium features are the Discovery Center - an interactive area with a horseshoe crab touch tank; Ray Bay and Friendship Flats, inhabited by a variety of stingrays and small sharks and Rainbow Rock, a stunning display of thousands of brilliantly colored tropical Indo-Pacific fish. Educational presentations and dive shows are scheduled throughout the day.

New for 2007, the "Pirates-Predators of the Sea!" exhibit. Ripley's Aquarium proudly announces the arrival of this swash-buckling new exhibit opening the first week of March, 2007, featuring marine life, live animals and numerous interactive, informative displays. This exhibit is sure to shock and awe as we set our imaginations asail with the rogues of high seas.
