The celebration will offer a full day of free and nominally priced events and activities in several of the Island's signature parks. From Gullah story telling to field day events from kids the day is full of opportunities. From gardening and landscaping seminars to golf swing clinics. Dozens of available homes will also be featured in the Island's largest Open House event.
In 1973, Family Circle became the first women's magazine to fully underwrite a professional sporting event, helping to catapult women's tennis into a worldwide sport. In the last 27 years, the Family Circle Cup has achieved many more "firsts":
