Home of the Furman Paladins, which has produced such well-known professionals as Dottie Pepper, Beth Daniel, Betsy King and Brad Faxon. This is old-fashioned golf at its best: long (6,800 yards) and relatively open, with just enough water to keep golfers on their toes. Best Hole: No. 13, a 469-yard par-4 with a tee shot to a tight (15-20 yards wide) landing area, then a long-iron shot over a valley to the green. A bunker on the right front catches most missed shots.
