Granger Lake Camping

Granger Lake Camping Granger Lake is one of the lesser known recreational areas around Austin. Situated in the rolling terrain of northeast Williamson County on the Blackland Prairie, it offers some interesting sites and good solitude away from the RV camping areas. Four parks have similar features to make your stay more enjoyable.

There is a Gatehouse at the entrance of each park for you to receive general information about the lake or stop at the project office located at the north end of the dam.

Three of the parks( Wilson H. Fox, Taylor and Willis Creek) offer camping in class A campgrounds. These parks have the following amenities centrally located:

- Restrooms - w/showers with hot water and flush toilets
- Dump Station (dumping of gray water on ground is prohibited)

Each camping site has:

- Electric Hook ups (30/20 Amp) (some have 50 amp service)
- Water Hook up
- Willis Creek Park has sewer hook-ups
- Covered picnic table (some have screened shelters)
- Upright Grill
- Fire Ring, for ground fires

Wilson H. Fox Park - Open year round

58 Sites - (37 sites are reservable through the National Recreation Reservation Service (NRRS) on the internet or by calling toll free 1-877-444-6777.) starting at $14.00. One Disabled Site.

* Screened Shelter w/Sink & Ceiling Fan, two benches and picnic table. $30.00 with or without an RV unit.

*Sinks are located behind campground restrooms for tent campers to wash dishes.

*A Fish cleaning station is located behind the restroom at east boat ramp.

*Camping fees include boat ramp, fishing dock and swimming beach fees.

* A Playground is located behind site 26 for use by registered campers.

Day Use Activities

Fishing dock - 6am-10pm (only registered campers allowed after 10 PM)
Swim Beach - Open April 1 thru November 30,(6am-sunset)
Boat Ramp - 2 located in this park, 1 w/Courtesy dock and fish cleaning station behind restroom (east ramp)

Taylor Park - Open March 1 through September 30 Only

48 Campsites,(31 sites are reservable through the National Recreation Reservation Service (NRRS) on the internet or by calling toll free 1-877-444-6777.) starting at $12.00.

* All sites are back in sites with 30 and 20 amp service, water hydrant, covered picnic table, stand up cooker, fire ring and utility table.

* Camping fee includes boat ramp fee, picnic area and hiking trail fees.

* The Comanche Bluff Hiking Trail starts in the park and traverses throughout the park and ends up at the Fox Bottom Primitive Camp Area.

- Boat Ramp w/Courtesy dock
- 50 Picnic Sites - Each site has a covered picnic table and an upright grill.
- Hiking trail

Willis Creek Park - Open Year Round

27 Campsites, (16 sites are reservable through the National Recreation Reservation Service (NRRS) on the internet or by calling toll free 1-877-444-6777.) starting at $14.00. One disabled site.

* All sites are back in sites with 30 and 20 amp service, water hydrant, covered picnic table, stand up cooker, fire ring and utility table.

* Camping fee includes boat ramp fee
