Lake Bob Sandlin Fishing

Lake Bob Sandlin offers many quality options when pursuing sportfish. The largemouth bass population is moderately abundant with good numbers of legal-size fish available for harvest. Spotted bass are present but at low densities. White bass is a popular species with high numbers of quality size fish. Channel catfish in recent years have become more abundant across all size classes, and there are plenty of good-sized fish available for harvest. Good numbers of legal size crappie are present and provide good fishing opportunities. Redear sunfish, the dominant sunfish species in the lake, are moderately abundant and also showing good sizes.

Lake Bob Standin does have timber, vegetation, boat docks and fishing piers give an array of structural fishing opportunities.

There are several launch areas located around the lake.

Public Ramp 1

Located northwest of the dam, adjacent to the Titus County Freshwater Supply District office. From Texas 271 south of Mt. Pleasant and north of Pittsburg, turn west onto FM 3417. Turn south on SW 37th Street, take the first right, then turn right again to ramp.

Barefoot Bay Marina

Located in Barefoot Bay, southwest of the dam. Go west from Pittsburg on Texas 11, turn north on FM 1520. Go approximately 4 miles, cross Barefoot Bay and turn right (north) to marina.

Highway 21 Bridge South

Located on the south shore at mid-lake. Go west from Pittsburg to Texas 21, go north 3.6 miles and turn left to the ramp before the bridge.

Located on the north shore at mid-lake. Go west from Pittsburg to Texas 21 and turn north. Cross bridge and look for ramp on left.

Take Texas 11 west from Pittsburg, turn north on Texas 21. Cross bridge and turn right to park entrance

Titus County Park

Go southwest on FM 127 from Mt. Pleasant to Monticello and turn left at Titus county park sign. Park entrance is approximately 2 miles from the turnoff.
Ramps to lakes Bob Sandlin and Monticello are located in this park.
