This replica was built in 1976, as a Fannin County Bicentennial project. Three 1830's log cabins from the Fannin County area were relocated surrounding the stockade. They have been furnished to represent a frontier cabin, a trading post, and a blacksmith shop. A school/church a gift shop are recent additions. A doctor's buggy and military wagon have been restored and are on display in the stockade area.
Groups may see various pioneer activities being demonstrated including: lye soap making, broom making, candle making and various outdoor skills. Students may also participate in pioneer activities such as: shelling and grinding corn, frontier games, drawing water and washing clothes.
Admission: Admission is free, donations accepted
Hours: April through September, Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
