A Tri-County bicycle ride to benefit abused children. Ride 10, 20, 50 or 100 mile routes of easy or more difficult circuits through beautiful, historic Civil War Countryside! CASA of the Eastern Panhandle, Inc., (CASA-EP) is sponsoring a multi-route bicycle ride on June 2nd. CASA–EP is a non-profit organization that trains volunteers to be Court Appointed Special Advocates who serve abused and neglected children in the tri-county area. Beginning and ending at the Bavarian Inn in Shepherdstown -- West Virginia’s oldest town -- the bike ride will feature something for everyone. New this year: Tykes on Trikes: kids will ride a circle of hope on a 60-yard loop on a street blocked off in downtown Shepherdstown. Ride Info: Rest stops will provide healthy snacks and beverages. Support vehicles will be on the routes to take riders back to the staging area in the event of a breakdown. Safety rules include obeying all traffic laws, and all riders are strongly encouraged to wear helmets. Registration: The $30.00 registration fee includes sag support, cue sheets, food and drinks at the rest stops and a T-shirt. Children under 7 ride free. Pledges: Riders are asked to solicit pledges for sponsorship of their ride. For riders who raise $100 or more in pledges, the registration fee will be waived.
