The Collis P. Huntington Railroad Historical Society is proud to present the world-renowned New River Train excursions through the beautiful New River Gorge in southern West Virginia. As one of the newest national park-lands, the "Grand Canyon of the East" along the New River is aglow in fall colors in mid to late October.

It is during this peak autumn foliage time that our train traverses the former Chesapeake & Ohio mainline from Huntington, WV to Hinton, WV, allowing for a front-row seat to some of the most spectacular scenery in the country.
Our destination of Hinton, WV offers a street fair each day with local food stands, arts and crafts, entertainment, a railroad museum, and many other attractions. Passengers will have approximately three hours to tour Hinton while the train is being prepared for the return trip west.
