First Feast of the East Gathering Set in Spencer -- Event to honor Women’s Drum groups and Native American culture.

The first Feast of the East Gathering honoring Native American women’s drum groups will be held at Camp Sheppard 4-H Camp, Gandeeville.
Mother Earth Beat, an all-women Native American Pow Wow drum group, is hosting the event where drum groups from California, Florida, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Canada will perform.
Those attending the feast will learn about the strength and creativity of Native American people.

The feast will be July 8 from 10am to 10pm and July 9 from 12pm to 5pm
A ceremony to honor Mother Earth Beat and to recognize women’s drums will take place on July 8 before a traditional Native American dinner.
