The 7th annual XTERRA ACE Big Canyon Off-Road Triathlon begins the competitive events series at ACE Adventure Center on Sunday, June 3rd. Part of the international XTERRA American Tour series, this points race features the only down-river swimming section in the country. Registration is now open and participants can go to www.aceraft.com/XTERRA/XTERRA-ace-big-canyon-tri.html for event details. The event begins with an invigorating and unique down-stream swim in the New River. Participants then make the run/bike transition by climbing more than 1,000 vertical feet over single-track and forest service road. The final segment is a fast, single-track course with many hills and the infamous steep descent found on the Rigormortis Trail. New for 2007.....relay team divisions.
