Wheeling Vintage Raceboat Regatta

The Wheeling Vintage Raceboat Regatta takes place August 31 - September 2, 2007 at the WV Heritage Port on the Ohio River, in Wheeling, West Virginia.

The 2nd Annual Wheeling Vintage Raceboat Regatta will feature over 30 automotive-powered hydroplanes and raceboats running heats on the beautiful Ohio River in downtown Wheeling WV. The Heritage Port is a wonderful venue to watch these old boats, featuring permanent terraced seating in a park-like setting. A custom car cruise-in, radio-controlled airplanes shows, and jet ski stunt shows are also part of the Regatta schedule. Registration will be held on Friday August 31, and the pits are open to the public throughout the day. Heats of the vintage hydroplanes and raceboats and the other events will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 1 and 2. Vendors will be present.

All events are open to the public and there is no admission charge.

Directions: Interstate 70 to Wheeling, Downtown Wheeling exit, south on Rt. 2 approximately 1/2 mile to 12th Street, right on 12th Street to Heritage Port.
