The Festival starts Friday night, August 10, with a contra and square dance and a participatory singing session. On Saturday, August 11, from 10am to 6pm, family-style festivities take place all day under tents in tree-shaded Elkins City Park and in the buildings adjoining the park. This year's Craft Fair will have as many as 75 craft artisan booths, as well as food vendors. ADMISSION IS FREE. Saturday night is the Festival Concert, at 8 pm in Hermanson Center, Davis & Elkins College. This year's concert features the bluegrass sensation BLUE HIGHWAY with additional exciting performances by The Sweetback Sisters and Emily Eagan. Tickets will be available at the door ($8 for adults, $6 for seniors over 60 and kids 10 and under). Following the concert, join us in the pavilion for a dance. Dance admission: $5. The Festival ends Sunday morning, August 12, with a participatory Gospel Sing.
