Old Albany is the remnant of an 1850s settlement by a group from Albany, New York. Albany continued to grow after the Civil War. They had a post office, hotel, boarding house, livery stable, blacksmith shop, grocery store, creamery, sawmill, and a millinery store. In 1870

Sabetha, KS RecreationThe original depot was moved to Albany from Bern, Kansas in 1965. It was destroyed by fire in 1980 and a new replica was built in 1981. It has been restocked with antique railroad artifacts. There is also a miniature train display. Caboose number 25061 and 25678
Sabetha, KS Railroad HistoryPony Creek Lake has a surface area of 171 acres and a mean depth of 13.8 feet. It offers fishing, hiking, and hunting. Camping, is allowed in designated areas of the Park. Permit required.
