Skeleton Canyon is the site of the surrender of Geronimo. The tour is in celebration of its 120 th anniversary year. This is a rare event as the site is not open to the public.
The Tour will be about 2 hours, led by Bill Cavalier, former Sheriff of Hidalgo County, and will include touring Devil's Kitchen.
Tour participants will meet at the Geronimo Surrender Monument, located in Apache, Arizona, on Highway 80 between Douglas, Arizona and Rodeo, New Mexico, at 10 a.m. on May 13. Plan ample travel time to arrive by 10 a.m.
