The Tucson Rodeo Parade is the longest non-motorized parade in the nation. This 89 year old Tucson tradition brings the vibrant history and colors of the Southwest to life each February in conjunction with La Fiesta de los Vaqueros, the Tucson Rodeo. Over 150,000 spectators line the streets in southern Tucson each year in anticipation of this historic event. 9:00 am.
The parade is FREE to spectators along most of its route. Ticketed grandstand seating that includes pre-parade entertainment is also available next to the Rodeo Grounds on Irvington Road. Grandstand tickets are $7 each for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under and can be purchased at the Parade office at 4823 S. 6th Ave or online.
The Tucson Rodeo Parade Museum will open January 2, 2014 to April 15, 2014.* Here you can walk among over 125 horse-drawn vehicles and great displays featuring life as it was in late 19th century Tucson. The Museum is at the Tucson Rodeo Grounds, corner of 6th Ave and Irvington Road. Museum hours are
9:30 - 3:30, Monday-Saturday; closed Sundays. Museum admission donation is $10.00 per adult; children under 16 are $2.00. Private tours may be arranged year-round by contacting Bob Taylor @ 520-247-4236 or 520-294-1280.
