The Lake Havasu Marine Association is inviting chili and salsa chefs to compete in the Annual Lake Havasu Chili Cookoff during the Annual Lake Havasu Boat Show. This year's competition is offering $3,500+ in prize money and is a fully-sanctioned ICS chili cook-off with three categories consisting of true Texas red chili (no beans or fillers), chili verde, and salsa, all of which will be judged by a selected panel of judges. The red chili and chili verde must be made on-site with cooking times between 10am-1pm for chili verde and 12pm-3pm for red chili. Each chili cook will also be serving "people's choice" chili which must consist of beans or fillers to the hungry public who will vote on their favorite for People's Choice prizes.
All proceeds of this event go to the Lake Havasu High School Athletic Booster Club. Vendor spaces for non-cooks of chili-related/food products are also available.
Family Fun Day, Sunday, 9am-3pm
Bring the family for a Family Fun Day! Lots of entertainment including a games and activities for adults and kids of all ages.
