Mother K 5K

The Mother K 5K is a walk/run event in memory of Katie Buchanan Gant, originally from Council Grove, KS. Proceeds from this event will go to the Katie Gant Memorial Scholarship Fund for a Council Grove High School senior with the goal of pursuing a healthcare major- just like Katie did. We'd love participants from all over to join us for a run/walk through historic Council Grove, KS.

This building houses the two-story Atkinson Log House, constructed in 1858 on Clark's Creek near Large Spring near Latimer, and moved to this site in 1996. It is one of the two oldest wooden structures known to remain in Morris County.
