It's time for Franklin's Annual Summer Celebration! Saturday begins early with sidewalk sales on main street, followed by a parade at 10:00 am and classic cars. The rest of the afternoon you can relax at the City Park and enjoy everything from games to crafts to food.

Franklin Academy

Franklin County is rich in its cultural achievements. In 1880, Franklin was chosen as a site for one of few Academies in Nebraska. Franklin's City Park is now located where the Academy once stood.

The Franklin County Museum, bursting with history, is operated by the Franklin County Historical Society. It occupies two large buildings with a spacious parking lot.

Franklin is fortunate to have a beautiful 9-hole, grass green golf course with watered fairways. Green fees are very reasonable and cart rental is available. A modern clubhouse is available for anyone's comfort, offering showers, beverages and food during your golf outing.
