The weekend long celebration kicks off Friday night with an artist reception hosted by the Aurora Artists Association, followed Saturday morning by an "All-You Can-Eat" pancake breakfast cooked up by the Aurora American Legion Auxiliary and a 1k/5k run/walk, organized by the City of Aurora, starting at the Old Aurora Colony Museum. Museum admission is free on Saturday with living history demonstrations including the "Ring of Fire" wheel-making demonstration and a rummage sale. Other Aurora Colony activities include the popular Outdoor Antiques Faire, Art Show & Sale, and Old Aurora Annual Parade.
