A community-wide appreciation banquet for hunters, this evening helps raise money for local civic organizations and the West Texas Rehab. Proceeds are raised through ticket sales for door prizes and admission fees. Door prizes include guns, $10,000 in Cabela's gift cards and much more. Fort Lancaster State Historic Site
The 82-acre park was originally donated to Crockett County in 1965 by the Meadows and Benckenstein families for preservation and public use of the site and was transferred to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in 1968. Today it is managed by the Texas Historical Commission.
