Cure on the Colorado: An Evening of the Blues

The Friends of Science Park present the annual Cure on the Colorado to benefit The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Science Park, one of the world’s foremost centers devoted to understanding the causes of cancer and its prevention. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to support education and research at the center.

The event takes place on March 23 from 5-9 pm. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the gate. Admission to Cure on the Colorado includes an evening with the blues with a live show by The Peterson Brothers Band, a buffet dinner catered by Chef John Chabot, and silent and live auctions. The outdoor venue is at the beautiful Vernon L. Richards Riverbend Park on the banks of the Colorado River.

A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and individuals. One of the unique aspects of the Cure on the Colorado is that sponsorships can also be made as either memorial gifts or honoraria. This is an opportunity to honor someone who has battled cancer with a gift that can truly make a difference in understanding the causes and prevention of cancer. The names of those who have been recognized through a memorial gift or honorarium will be featured on a special banner displayed at the Cure on the Colorado and included in the program.
