Peru Fair

Event Details
The Peru Fair, rated as one of Vermont's top ten tourist events by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, will once again fill the town of Peru with visitors and craftspeople on Saturday. Now entering its 31st year, the Fair offers hay rides, a "village green" pig roast operated by the Peru Volunteer Fire Department, and pony rides, as well as area crafts and food products provided by some 120 area artisan and craft people. Music, magic and dancing will entertain the whole family throughout the day.
The Peru Fair has attracted several thousand visitors to our town each year to the benefit of The Peru Scholarship Fund supporting every child in Peru who is continuing their education on a full time basis, beyond high school. So not only is it a lot of fun for everyone, but it serves a good cause as well.
This year's Fair will open at 9:00 am. As usual, free bus service to and from the town is provided from Bromley Mountain's parking lot (about a five minute ride).
Based on the Farmers Almanac, The Peru Fair Committee stresses that the day will be a sunny, quintessential early autumn day and is suggesting that there is no need for umbrellas this year - unless it rains.
The Fair starts at 9am (until 4pm), with the parade at 9.45am, rain or shine.
Location is the entire town center of Peru.
