Event Details
Each year as many as 5000 visitors get up early and join the population of about 700 to celebrate the Country's Independence.
The fields have been hayed to park all the cars. A hay wagon shuttles those who come late enough to need to park further away.
Booths of all kinds are open by 9 am. There are Craft Booths, Antiques, Fine Art, books and a White Elephant Sale.
BuntingAn auction of goods donated to the cause helps raise further money, but the highlight of the day is the parade.
The parade consists of floats, antique cars, fire engines, and tractors, bands and marching bands, which march through the town, up into a field at the end of the road, turn round and march back through, so you get to see the parade two times!
When you get hungry there's the Hot Dog Booth, Strawberry Shortcake, Chicken BBQ, and Wardsboro's famous home baked pies.
There are games for the kids, a dunk tank, history exhibit, quilt and flower show and display of paintings by local artists.
You couldn't find a better place to spend the day than at Wardsboro's Annual 4th of July Street Fair.
